Yesterday afternoon calls started coming in from multiple people in Lufkin and Huntington that there was a blue Hyundai Veloster driving recklessly on the roads. The car was seen zipping from HWY 69 to North Timberland drive, and even making his way to the Lufkin Wal-Mart parking lot according to reports on Facebook.

The vehicle was weaving in and out of 5 o'clock traffic, but luckily before anything happened the vehicle was pulled over and the driver was arrested. Kaegan Gage Tobias was booked into the Angelina County Jail after being stopped by the DPS.

He was charged with driving while intoxicated. He was also charged with reckless driving after causing quite a stir around town.

Current Driver Of The Vehicle Asks That No One Retaliate

The vehicle was towed at the scene of the arrest and has been released back to the driver’s partner. So if you see this vehicle around town, just know that it is not the same driver.

They use this vehicle to commute to work and have asked that no one retaliates in any way if they see it.

Driver Has Been Charged With Reckless Driving In The Past

This is not the first time Tobias was arrested for reckless driving. He had a similar charge back in 2017 when he was 18 years old.

Other past charges include unlawful carrying of a weapon and marijuana possession. People that know him have stated that he is in need of mental health care at this time.

Hopefully he will get the care that he needs and can start a new chapter in his life.
